The book "English for football" English for Soccer is part of OUP's Express series dedicated to English for students who need communication in an English-speaking football environment, or players travelling abroad, who need a football-related vocabulary. So it is not surprising that the foreword is from a football manager, although it is not every day by Sir Alex Ferguson.

With 20 league titles to his credit, it's safe to say he knows a lot about football. But what does he know about teaching English and the usefulness of school books? Is the book really as good as Sir Alex claims?
